Louisiana is called the "Sportsman's Paradise" for a reason. Fishing is great, including where we are. Our location is especially good having the combination of a great river, a large backwater lake, and a beautiful bayou. All have different types of fish and require different fishing methods. Whether you are fishing from a boat or bank fishing, you will likely have a great time catching lots of fish.
Fishing from the grassy bank at Midway Marina is convenient for those without a boat. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy. Restrooms are nearby, as is our store with food and beverages, along with tackle and live bait. Our boat ramp is also nearby for those launching a watercraft. The ramp is free for our RV & cabin guests and available to the public for a small fee.
The fishing is so great at Midway Marina that Bass Tournaments are held here, as show in the following photos
